My first memories of watching “the stuff my parents didn’t want me to see” was being home alone on a late Saturday eve in 1981 getting creeped the eff out by the little vampire bat boy in “Salem’s Lot” scratching at the window to be let in!

Countless night terrors later mixed with moments of shear celluloid love (The Warriors, Prince of Darkness, Bloodsport, Phantasm 2, and on & on), I learned to embrace and love all things horror, sci-fi, & cult!

Podcasting After Dark has given me the opportunity to expunge my repressed demons with my emotional support buddy, Corey! Hope you enjoy the trip down therapy lane as much as I do! -Zak

As a latchkey kid growing up in the 1980s I watched a lot of movies that I wasn’t supposed! Plus, my dad didn’t pay too much attention to the MPAA when he took me to the theater back in the day (I saw “Aliens” when I was 8 if that tells you anything)!

Driven by my love for horror and the desire to see as much nudity as possible, I went down a rabbit hole of cult cinema (“Hardware” is my jam) in my early teens and I never looked back!

Getting to do Podcasting After Dark with Zak is a dream come true! I love digging deep and discussing these gems from our youth, and I hope you all enjoy listening! -Corey
